1-n-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate is used as a solvent in headspace gas chromatography and countercurrent chromatography, as mobile and stationary phases. It is widely used in organic synthesis, extraction technologies, electochemistry and biphasic organometallic catalysis.

Anwendungen
1-n-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium-hexafluorophosphat wird als Lösungsmittel in der Headspace-Gaschromatographie und Gegenstromchromatographie als mobile und stationäre Phasen verwendet. Es wird häufig in der organischen Synthese, in Extraktionstechnologien, in der Elektrochemie und in der biphasischen organometallischen Katalyse verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Dichlormethan, Chloroform, Ethylacetat. Nicht mischbar mit Wasser, Diethylether und Hexan.

Hinweise
Hygroskopisch. Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
