Polymerizable diacid (10,12-docosadiynedioic acid) was used as obtained from GFS Chemicals. Synthesis of dimesogenic liquid crystals with both cholesterol and azobenzene groups is by the esterification of 10,12-docosadiynedioic acid. .

Anwendungen
