Solvent for ninhydrin color reagent2-Methoxy ethanol is used as a solvent for various purposes like varnishes, dyes, cleaning agents, epoxy coating, paints, anti-icing fuel additive in aviation and resins. It is involved in the preparation of Vaska’s complex viz. trans-chlorocarbonylbis(triphenylphosphine)iridium(I) and ruthenium hydridechlorocarbonyl tristriphenylphosphine. Further, it is also used in the synthesis of 2-aminothiazoles and Rho-associated kinase inhibitors.

Das Lösungsmittel für das neunwertige Farbreagenz-2-Methoxy-Ethanol wird für verschiedene Zwecke wie Lacke, Farbstoffe, Reinigungsmittel, Epoxidbeschichtung, Farben, Enteisungs-Kraftstoffzusatz in der Luftfahrt und Harze verwendet. Wird zur Herstellung von Vaskas-Komplexen d. h. Trans-Chlorocarbonylbis(triphenylphosphin)iridium(I) und Rutheniumhydridechlorocarbonyltristriphenylphosphin verwendet. Wird außerdem bei der Synthese von 2-Aminothiazolen und Rho-assoziierten Kinase-Inhibitoren verwendet.
Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Wasser, Alkohol, Äther, Aceton, Kohlenwasserstoffen, Ketonen, Glykolen und Dimethylformamid.
Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Basen, starken Oxidationsmitteln, Säuren, Basen, Kupferlegierungen und Kupfer.
