6-Amino-1-Methyluracil kann bei der Herstellung von 1,1′-Di-Methyl-1H-spiro[pyrimido[4,5-b]Chinolin-5,5′-pyrrolo[2,3-d]Pyrimidin]-2,2′,4,4′,6′(1′H,3H,3′H,7′H,1′H)-pentaon verwendet werden, über eine Reaktion mit Isatin in Anwesenheit von katalytischer p-Toluolsulfonsäure.

Löslich in verdünnter Natriumhydroxid-Lösung.
