It is used as a reagent for the determination of copper. It acts as an exciton blocking barrier which prohibits excitons diffusion process towards the Al electrode otherwise being quenched. It is the most commonly used buffer layer between acceptor and cathode layer.

Anwendungen
Es wird als Reagenz zur Bestimmung von Kupfer verwendet. Es fungiert als Exzitonensperrbarriere, die verhindert, dass der Diffusionsprozess der Exzitonen in Richtung der Al-Elektrode, die sonst gequencht wird, verläuft. Es ist die am häufigsten verwendete Pufferschicht zwischen Akzeptor- und Kathodenschicht.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Methanol (36 mg/100 ml), Ethanol, 2-Propanol, Bezen und Aceton. Teilweise mit Wasser mischbar.

Hinweise
Kühl und trocken in einem versiegelten Behälter lagern. Von Oxidationsmitteln entfernt aufbewahren
