For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 μL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase. This CDKL5 recombinant human protein (1-498) was expressed in insect cells. CDKL5 recombinant human protein is also available in our SelectScreen™ Kinase Profiling Service. CDKL5 serine/threonine kinase (STK9) is associated with X-linked infantile spasm syndrome (ISSX), also known as X-linked West syndrome and Rett syndrome (RTT). CDKL5 can control nuclear speckle morphology by regulating the phosphorylation state of splicing regulatory proteins, and may be involved indirectly in pre-mRNA processing by controlling splicing factor dynamics. The mutations in CDKL5 are major cause of infantile spasms and early epileptic seizures in female patients, and of a later intractable seizure disorder.
