Anwendungen
• Cyclosporin A zeigt immunosuppressive, antimykotische, antirheumatische und dermatologische Aktivitäten
•In In-vivo- und In-vitro-Studien weist es eine Tumorigenität auf
•Diese Verbindung verfügt nachweislich auch über eine antiasthmatische Aktivität sowie eine Wirkung gegen Coronaviren
•Hemmt die Phosphoprotein-Phosphatase
•Cyclosporin A bindet an das zelluläre Protein Cytophilin und hemmt das Enzym Calcineurin
•Darüber hinaus kann die Verbindung Apoptose induzieren und die durch VEGF induzierte Angiogenese hemmen
•Übt eine starke immunosuppressive Aktivität auf T-Immunzellen aus und bewirkt eine reversible Hemmung immunkompetenter Lymphozyten in der G0- und G1-Phase des Zellzyklus
• Unterdrückt zudem die Hepatitis-C-Virusreplikation in kultivierten Hepatozyten
