The Mouse MIP-1alpha (CCL3) ELISA quantitates Ms MIP-1α in mouse serum, plasma, or cell culture medium. The assay will exclusively recognize both natural and recombinant Ms MIP-1α. Principle of the method The Mouse MIP-1α solid-phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the amount of the target bound between a matched antibody pair. A target-specific antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples, standards, or controls are then added into these wells and bind to the immobilized (capture) antibody. The sandwich is formed by the addition of the second (detector) antibody, a substrate solution is added that reacts with the enzyme-antibody-target complex to produce measurable signal. The intensity of this signal is directly proportional to the concentration of target present in the original specimen. Rigorous validation Each manufactured lot of this ELISA kit is quality tested for criteria such as sensitivity, specificity, precision, and lot-to-lot consistency. CCL3 (MIP1a, Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-1 alpha, MIP-1 alpha) hat ein Molekulargewicht von ungefähr 8 kDa, gehört zur Familie der chemotaktischen Zytokine und ist an chemotaktischen und proinflammatorischen Effekten sowie an der Homöostase beteiligt. CCL3 wird von Lymphozyten, Makrophagen und dendritischen Zellen produziert und ist an der entzündlichen Reaktion von Blutmonozyten und Gewebe-Makrophagen beteiligt. Auch kann CCL3 als natürlich vorkommender Heterodimer mit MIP-1beta existieren und hat antivirale Aktivität gegen HSV-1 bewiesen. CCL3-Protein kann mit hoher Affinität an die CCR1- und CCR5-Rezeptoren binden.
