The Mouse Cardiotrophin 1 (CT-1) ELISA quantitates Ms CT-1 in mouse serum, plasma, or cell culture medium. The assay will exclusively recognize both natural and recombinant Ms CT-1. Principle of the method The Mouse CT-1 solid-phase sandwich ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the amount of the target bound between a matched antibody pair. A target-specific antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples, standards, or controls are then added into these wells and bind to the immobilized (capture) antibody. The sandwich is formed by the addition of the second (detector) antibody, a substrate solution is added that reacts with the enzyme-antibody-target complex to produce measurable signal. The intensity of this signal is directly proportional to the concentration of target present in the original specimen. Rigorous validation Each manufactured lot of this ELISA kit is quality tested for criteria such as sensitivity, specificity, precision, and lot-to-lot consistency. Cardiootropin-1 (CT-1) ist ein Teil der IL-6-Familie von Zytokinen, die durch gp130-Rezeptorkomplexe Signale senden. gp130-Komplexe mit mehreren verschiedenen Rezeptorsubeinheiten zur Übertragung von Signalen von Cardiotropin-1, IL-6, LIF-, OSM-, CNTF- und IL-11. Cardiotropin-1 bindet und aktiviert den LiF-Rezeptor/gp130-Rezeptorkomplex (Leukämiehemmungsfaktor) und induziert in vitro Hypertrophie in Herzmyozyten. Cardiootropin-1 ist ein sezerniertes Protein, das während der Kardiogenese auf hohem Niveau im Myokard exprimiert wird und nachweislich die Proliferation und das Überleben embryonaler Kardiomyozyten fördert, was auf eine Funktion von Cardiophin1 bei der Aktivierung von gp130 während der Herzentwicklung hindeutet.
