Beschreibung
Anwendungenp-Cresol ist ein Ausgangsmaterial für die Synthese von Bupranolol, einem nicht selektiven Beta-Blocker. Es wird auch bei der Herstellung von Antioxidantien wie Butylhydroxytoluol verwendet. Darüber hinaus wird es als Klebstoff und Dichtungsmittel in Chemikalien, Farbstoffen, Zwischenprodukten, Geruchsstoffen, Weichmachern, Beschichtungs- und Oberflächenbehandlungsmitteln verwendet. Es wirkt als Antioxidans und Desinfektionsmittel in Pharmazeutika.
Löslichkeit
Löslich in Ethanol, Diethylether und Aceton. Schwer in Wasser löslich.
Hinweise
Luft- und lichtempfindlich. Hygroskopisch. Kühl lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln und Basen.
