Sodium 1-tetradecyl sulfate is used as an anionic surfactant in nickel plating bath, pickling, electrolytic cleaning, welding, leather dyeing and rubles polishes. It is used to study the time course of liquid drainage and foam coarsening and to investigate the effects of sclerosant foam preparation. It is used for the treatment of varicose and spider veins of the leg.

Anwendungen
Natrium-1-Tetradecylsulfat wird als anionisches Tensid in Nickelplattierbad, Beizen, für elektrolytische Reinigung, Schweißen, Lederfärbung und reibfreien Polituren verwendet. Dient zur Untersuchung des Zeitverlaufs der Flüssigkeitsentwässerung und der Schaumvergröberung und zur Untersuchung der Auswirkungen der sklerosanten Schaumbereitung. Wird für die Behandlung von Krampfadern und Besenreiser am Bein verwendet.

Wasserlöslich.

Hinweise
Hygroskopisch. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
