Beschreibung

tert-Butyl ethyl ether is used as an oxygenate gasoline additive oxygenate during its production from crude oil. It is used as an extractant in human urine by using single-walled carbon nanotubes as an adsorbent. It plays an important role as a fuel component in petrol to enhance its octane rating.

Anwendungen
Tert-Butyl-Ethylether wird als Oxygenat-Benzin-Additiv-Oxygenat während seiner Produktion aus Rohöl verwendet. Wird als Extraktionsmittel im menschlichen Urin verwendet, indem es einwandige Kohlenstoff-Nanoröhrchen als Adsorptionsmittel verwendet. Spielt eine wichtige Rolle als Kraftstoffkomponente im Benzin, um seine Oktanzahl zu erhöhen.

Mischbar mit Alkohol, Ethylether. Leicht mit Wasser mischbar.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, Neopren, n-Butyl und Urethan. Kann mit Luft reagieren, wodurch Peroxide gebildet werden.
