1,2-Hexanediol is widely used in various cosmetic applications such as hair conditioners, deodorants and antiperspirants. It is involved in the modification of sodium dodecyl sulfate micelles, which is used for amino acid separation by micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC) method. It is a moisturizing agent and plays a vital role in baby care products, bath products, eye makeup, cleansing products and skin care products. It is also used as an additive in liquid cleaning compositions.

Anwendungen
1,2-Hexandiol wird häufig in verschiedenen kosmetischen Anwendungen wie Haarpflegemitteln, Deodorants und Antitranspiranten verwendet. Es ist an der Modifikation von Natriumdodecylsulfat-Mizellen beteiligt, die zur Aminosäure-Trennung mittels mizellarelektrokinetischer Chromatographie (MEKC) verwendet werden. Es ist feuchtigkeitsspendend und spielt eine entscheidende Rolle in Babypflegeprodukten, Badeprodukten, Augen-Kosmetika, Reinigungsprodukten und Hautpflegeprodukten. Es wird auch als Zusatzstoff in flüssigen Reinigungsmitteln verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Wasser, wenig aliphatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen und Fettsäuren.

Hinweise
Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Säuren, sauren Chloriden, sauren Anhydriden und Oxidationsmitteln.
