1-Decanethiol is used to improve charge injection by creating a monolayer of this material on gold source-drain electrode surfaces for field-effect transistors (FETs). It is also used in the study of self-assembled monolayers.

Anwendungen
1-Decanethiol wird zur Verbesserung der Ladungsinjektion verwendet, indem eine Monolage dieses Materials auf der Oberfläche von Drain- und Source-Elektroden aus Gold für Feldeffekttransistoren (FET) erzeugt wird. Es wird auch bei der Untersuchung von selbstorganisierenden Monolagen verwendet.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Geöffnete Behälter müssen sorgfältig abgedichtet und aufrecht gehalten werden, um ein Auslaufen zu vermeiden. Empfohlene Lagertemperatur: 2–8 °C. Es ist luftempfindlich. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
