1-Decanol is used in the production of plasticizers, lubricants, surfactants and solvents. It is also used to study the thermal properties of polymer-monolithic stationary phases. Further, it is used to enhance homomeric glycine receptor function. In addition to this, it is used in daily flavor, food flavor and cosmetics.

1-Decanol wird bei der Herstellung von Weichmachern, Schmierstoffen, Tensiden und Lösungsmitteln verwendet. Wird auch zur Untersuchung der thermischen Eigenschaften polymer-monolithischer stationärer Phasen verwendet. Wird darüber hinaus zur Verbesserung der Funktion des homomerischen Glycinrezeptors verwendet. Wird darüber hinaus als tägliches Aroma Geschmack, als Lebensmittelaroma und in der Kosmetik verwendet.

Löslich in Alkohol, Äther. Unlöslich in Wasser.Mischbar mit Tetrachlorkohlenstoff, Ethanol, Äther, Aceton, Benzol, Chloroform und Eisessigsäure. Nicht mit Wasser mischbar.
Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, Säurechloriden und Säureanhydriden.
