Beschreibung

Phenidone inhibits both the LO (lipoxygenase) and Cox (cyclooxygenase) pathways, the synthesis of Fos-related antigen protein, and is described as an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant compound. Phenidone has been shown to block neurotoxicity induced by kainate, and weakens oxidative stress induced by lipopolysaccharide.

Anwendungen
Phenidon hemmt sowohl den LO-(Lipoxygenase) als auch den Cox-Cyclooxygenase)Weg, die Synthese von Fos-verwandtem Antigenprotein, und wird als entzündungshemmende und antioxidative Verbindung beschrieben. Phenidon hat gezeigt, die durch Kainat induzierte Neurotoxizität zu blockieren, und schwächt den oxidativen Stress, der durch Lipopolysaccharid hervorgerufen wird.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser (1:10 heiß), Methanol (0.1 mg/ml), DMSO (75 mg/ml) und Ethanol.
