2',7'-Dichlorofluorescein is used as an indicator and as a cellular antioxidant activity. It is also used for the determination of carbohydrates and hydrogen peroxide by fluorescence densitometry and chemiluminescence respectively. It is used as an indicator for argentometry by Fajans method. It is also involved in the cellular antioxidant activity assay. It is utilized as an additive in fluorescence and laser studies.

Anwendungen
2′,7′-Dichlorfluorescein wird als Indikator und für zelluläre antioxidative Aktivitäten verwendet. Es wird auch zur Bestimmung von Kohlenhydraten und Wasserstoffperoxid mittels Fluoreszenzdensitometrie bzw. Chemolumineszenz eingesetzt. Es dient als Indikator für die Argentometrie nach der Fajans-Methode. Es wird auch in den zellularen Antioxidansaktivitätassay miteinbezogen. Es wird als Additiv in Fluoreszenz- und Laserstudien verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Ethanol und Methanol. Leicht löslich in Dimethylsulfoxid. Unlöslich in Wasser.

Hinweise
Als Fluoreszenzindikator inkompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
