2-Ethylhexane-1,3-diol is used in organic synthesis and can be used to produce polyester resin, polyester plasticizers, polyurethane resin. It is also effective vermifuge to mosquitoes.

Anwendungen
2-Ethylhexan-1,3-Diol wird in der organischen Synthese verwendet und kann zur Herstellung von Polyesterharz, Polyesterweichmachern, Polyurethanharz verwendet werden. Ist auch ein wirksames Mückenbekämpfungsmittel.

Löslichkeit
Wasserlöslich (42 g/l bei 20 °C). Löslich in Alkohol und Äther.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Geöffnete Behälter müssen sorgfältig abgedichtet und aufrecht gehalten werden, um ein Auslaufen zu vermeiden. Es ist von Natur aus hygroskopisch.
