Antivirales Mittel

3'-Azido-3'-deoxythymidine is a Anti-viral agent, and also used as a reverse transcriptase inhibitor active against HIV-1 virus that blocks the incorporation of nucleotides into growing DNA strands. Useful for antiviral and anticancer studies. 3?-Azido-3?-deoxythymidine enters CNS by diffusion and causes irreversible telomere shortening.

Anwendungen
3′-Azido-3′-Dsoxythymidin ist ein antivirales Mittel und wird auch als reverser Transkriptase-Inhibitor gegen das HIV-1-Virus eingesetzt, der die Aufnahme von Nukleotiden in wachsenden DNA-Strängen blockiert. Nützlich für antivirale und krebsbekämpfende Studien. 3′-azido-3′ -Desoxythymidin tritt durch Diffusion in das ZNS ein und führt zu irreversibler Telomerverkürzung.
