3-Furoic acid is used in synthesis of furan-2,5- and furan-2,4-dicarboxylic acid under solvent-free conditions via disproportionation reaction. It exhibits hypolipidemic activity in rodents. It lowers serum cholesterol and serum triglyceride levels in mice and rats.

Anwendungen
3-Furansäure wird bei der Synthese von Furan-2,5- und Furan-2,4-Dicarbonsäure unter lösungsmittelfreien Bedingungen mittels Disproportionierungsreaktion verwendet. Zeigt hypolipidemische Aktivität bei Nagetieren. Senkt die Serumcholesterin- und Serumtriglyceridspiegel bei Mäusen und Ratten.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser, Ether, Alkohol, Ethanol und Methanol.

Hinweise
Halten Sie den Behälter dicht verschlossen. Kühl und trocken in einem gut versiegelten Behälter lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit Oxidationsmitteln.
