3-Methyl-1-butanol is used as an active ingredient in banana oil production and Kovac's reagent. It acts as an antifoaming agent. It serves as an intermediate for the manufacture of corrosion inhibitors, flotation aids, fuel and lubricating oil additives, polyvinyl chloride stabilizers, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, plasticizers, rubber auxiliaries and paint solvents.

Anwendungen
3-Methyl-1-Butanol wird als Wirkstoff in der Bananenölproduktion und in der Kovacs-Reagenz verwendet. Es dient als Antischaummittel. Es dient als Zwischenprodukt für die Herstellung von Korrosionshemmern, Flotationshilfen, Kraftstoff- und Schmieröladditiven, Polyvinylchlorid-Stabilisatoren, Pharmazeutika, Kosmetika, Weichmachern, Gummihilfsmitteln und Farblösungsmitteln.

Mischbar mit Wasser, Alkohol, Ether, Benzol, Chloroform, Petrolether, Eisessigsäure, Aceton und Ölen.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, starken Säuren, Säurechloriden und Säureanhydriden.
