4-methyl-2-pentanone is used as a solvent for nitrocellulose, gums, resins, varnishes, paints, lacquers, nitrocellulose, certain polymers and as a denaturing agent. It acts as a precursor for the preparation of N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenyl-p-phenylene diamine (6PPD), which finds application as an antiozonant in tires. Its aqueous solution serves as a developer for PMMA electron beam lithography resist.

Anwendungen
4-Methyl-2-Pentanon wird als Lösungsmittel für Nitrocellulose, Gummis, Harze, Lacke, Lacke, Nitrocellulose, bestimmte Polymere und als Denaturierungsmittel verwendet. Dient als Vorstufe für die Herstellung von N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N′-phenyl-p-phenylendiamin (6 PPD), das als Antiozonant in Reifen Anwendung findet. Seine wässrige Lösung dient als Entwickler für den PMMA-Elektronenstrahllithographie-Widerstand.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Ethanol, Äther, Aceton, Benzol und Chloroform. Leicht mit Wasser mischbar.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit Oxidationsmitteln und starken Basen. Vermeiden Sie Bedingungen wie Flammen und Funken.
