8-Methoxypsoralen, is used in Photochemotherapy (methoxsalen with long wave ultraviolet radiation) is indicated for the repigmentation of idiopathic vitiligo. It is also used in Photopheresis (methoxsalen with long wave ultraviolet radiation of white blood cells) is indicated for use with the UVAR* System in the palliative treatment of the skin manifestations of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.

Anwendungen
8-Methoxypsoralen, wird in der Photochemotherapie (Methoxsalen mit langwelliger ultravioletter Strahlung) ist für die Repigmentierung von idiopathischer Vitiligo indiziert. Wird auch in der Photopherese (Methoxsalen mit langwelliger ultravioletter Strahlung weißer Blutzellen) verwendet und ist für die Verwendung mit dem UVAR* System in der palliativen Behandlung der Hautmanifestationen des kutanen T-Zell-Lymphoms indiziert.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Aceton, Ethanol (leicht), Essigsäure und Chloroform (50 mg/ml). Unlöslich in Wasser.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Lichtempfindlich. Stabil unter empfohlenen Lagerbedingungen. Von starken Oxidationsmitteln fernhalten.
