Acetyl chloride acts as a reagent for the preparation of esters and amides of acetic acid. It is also useful as an important reactant in Friedel-Crafts reactions as well as in the introduction of an acetyl group. It serves as a starting material in the production of pharmaceutical, new plating complexing agent, acylation agent and synthetic organic intermediates.

Anwendungen
Acetylchlorid dient als Reagenz für die Vorbereitung von Estern und Amiden von Essigsäure. Es ist auch als wichtiger Reaktant in Friedel-Crafts-Reaktionen sowie bei der Einführung einer Acetylgruppe nützlich. Es dient als Ausgangsmaterial für die Herstellung von Arzneimitteln, neuen Beschichtungskomplexbildnern, Acylierungsstoffen und synthetischen organischen Zwischenprodukten.

Mischbar mit Aceton, Chloroform, Eisessigsäure, Petrolether, Ether und Benzol.

Hinweise
Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Nicht kompatibel mit Wasser, Alkoholen, Oxidationsmitteln und starken Basen.
