Released in response to hormonal stimulation. . Directly activates Epac, a Rap1 guanine-nucleotide exchange factor. Acts as a second messenger in signal transduction mechanisms. Promotes apoptosis in resting human B lymphocytes.

Anwendungen
3′,5′-Zyklisches Natriumsalz des Adenosinmonophosphatmonohydrats wird als Aktivator der Proteinkinase A (PKA) verwendet. Es ist ein wichtiger Regler für viele zelluläre Reaktionen. Fördert die Apoptose in stillstehenden menschlichen B-Lymphozyten.
