Pharmaceutical preparations of aluminum chloride hexahydrate are used to treat hyperhidrosis, a condition involving excessive sweating. It is also employed in deodorants, antiperspirant preparations, dyeing fabrics, refining crude oil, textile finishing, manufacturing parchment paper, preserving the wood and disinfecting stables. It also finds use as a reagent in organic synthesis. Aluminum chloride hexahydrate is also useful in water treatment process, medicine and cosmetic products.

Anwendungen
Pharmazeutische Präparate aus Aluminiumchlorid-Hexahydrat werden zur Behandlung von Hyperhidrose, einer Erkrankung mit übermäßigem Schwitzen, eingesetzt Es wird auch in Deodorants, Antitranspirantpräparaten, beim Färben von Stoffen, der Raffination von Rohöl, Textilveredelung, zur Herstellung von Pergamentpapier, Konservierung von Holz und Desinfektion von Ställen eingesetzt. Es findet auch Verwendung als Reagenz in der organischen Synthese. Aluminiumchlorid-Hexahydrat ist auch bei der Wasseraufbereitung, in der Medizin und in kosmetischen Produkten nützlich.

Löslichkeit
Es ist in Wasser sehr löslich. Löslich in Alkohol, Äther, Glycerin, Propylenglycol und Acetonitril.

Hinweise
Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Säuren.
