Biphenyl used in combination with Li metal for the generation of activated Ca metal. It is also used as important starting material for the production of polychlorinated biphenyls. It is also an intermediate for the production of a host of other organic compounds

Anwendungen
Biphenyl, das in Kombination mit Li-Metall zur Erzeugung von aktiviertem Ca-Metall verwendet wird. Wird auch als wichtiges Ausgangsmaterial für die Herstellung von polychlorierten Biphenylen verwendet. Ist auch ein Zwischenprodukt für die Herstellung einer Vielzahl anderer organischer Verbindungen
