Borane-tert-butylamine complex is used in stereoselective reduction of a steroidal ketone and for a review of amine boranes as selective reducing and hydroborating agents. It is also used as strong co-reducing agent in the syntheses of copper (I) oxide nanoparticles, diphosphine-protected gold nanocluster and 4-acetoxycinnamyl alcohols.

Anwendungen
Der Boran-tert-Butylamin-Komplex wird bei der stereoselektiven Reduktion eines steroiden Ketons und bei der Überprüfung von Aminboranen als selektives Reduktions- und Hydroborationsmittel verwendet. Wird auch als starkes Co-Reduktionsmittel in den Synthesen von Kupfer(I)-oxid-Nanopartikeln, diphosphinengeschützten Gold-Nanoclustern und 4-Acetoxycinnamyl-Alkoholen verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser (27 g/l bei 20 °C) und in Methanol.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Nicht kompatibel mit Oxidationsmitteln und Säuren.
