Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product No. 00-8222-49) (100 μL of cell sample + 100 μL of IC Fixation Buffer) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product No. 00-5333-57) for up to 3 days in the dark at 4°C with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency/compensation. Some generalizations regarding fluorophore performance after fixation can be made, but clone specific performance should be determined empirically. Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 710 nm; Laser: Blue Laser Human CD52, also known as Cambridge pathology antigen 1 (CAMPATH-1), is a glycoprotein found in the male reproductive tract and immune cells. It is abundantly expressed on the surface of nearly all human peripheral blood lymphocytes. The CD52 antigen is GPI-anchored membrane receptor that consists of a small 12 amino acid peptide attached to a large N-linked carbohydrate group. CD52 is a potent target for inducing cytolysis of mature lymphocytes. Alemtuzumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting CD52, is used as an immunomodulatory drug for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, T cell lymphomas, multiple sclerosis, and other diseases.
