Cerium(IV) sulfate is a redox indicator and is used in analytical chemistry for redox titrations. In ionized form, ceric ion acts as a strong oxidizer under acidic conditions. It is also used to prepare spherical-like nanoparticles CeO2, nanoparticles for NO reductions' reactions.

Anwendungen
Cer(IV)-Sulfat ist ein Redox-Indikator und wird in der analytischen Chemie für Redox-Titrationen verwendet. In ionisierter Form wirken Cer-Ionen als starke Oxidationsmittel unter sauren Bedingungen.
