Chlorobenzene is used in organic synthesis and dyestuffs. It is also used as a solvent for adhesives, drugs, rubber, paints and dry cleaning, and as a fiber-swelling agent in textile processing. It is utilized in chemoenzymatic synthesis of (+)-aspicilin and cyclohexane by hydrogenation over colloidal Pt nanocatalysts under ambient conditions.

Anwendungen
Chlorbenzol wird bei der organischen Synthese und in Farbstoffen verwendet. Es wird auch als Lösungsmittel für Klebstoffe, Medikamente, Gummi, Farben und die chemische Reinigung sowie als Faserquellmittel in der Textilverarbeitung verwendet. Es wird bei der chemoenzymatischen Synthese von (+)-Aspicilin und Cyclohexan durch Hydrierung über kolloidale Pt-Nanokatalysatoren unter Umgebungsbedingungen verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Alkohol, Chloroform, Diethylether und Benzol. Leicht unmischbar mit Wasser.

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln und starken Basen.
