Beschreibung

CAS: 67-66-3 | CHCl3 | 119.37 g/mol

Chloroform is a commonly used laboratory solvent. It was previously used as an anesthetic. It is also used as a precursor to PTFE and refrigerants. Chloroform was used in the past as an extraction solvent for fats, oils and greases. It is useful for the rapid and simple release of periplasmic proteins. The mixture of guanidinium thiocyanate-phenol-chloroform, plays an essential role in the RNA isolation process.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. Anwendungen
Chloroform ist ein häufig verwendetes Laborlösungsmittel. Es kam früher als Narkosemittel zum Einsatz. Wird auch als Ausgangsprodukt für PTFE und Kühlmittel verwendet. Chloroform diente in der Vergangenheit als Extraktionslösungsmittel für Fette, Öle und Fette. Nützlich für die schnelle und einfache Freisetzung periplasmatischer Proteine. Ein Gemisch aus Guanidinium-Thiocyanat-Phenol-Chloroform spielt eine wesentliche Rolle in der RNA-Isolation.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Diethylether, Ölen, Ligroin, Alkohol, Aceton, Tetrachlorkohlenstoff und Carbondisulfid. Leicht mit Wasser mischbar.

Hinweise
Stabile und lichtempfindliche chemische Verbindung. Nicht kompatibel mit Metallen und Alkalien. Substanz von Wärmeeinwirkung , Funkenflug, offenen Flammen und anderen Zündquellen fernhalten. In einem kühlen, trockenen und gut belüfteten Bereich aufbewahren.
