Mikrotubuli-zerstörendes Mittel, induziert Apoptose in menschlichen Lymphom-Zellen

Colchicine is most commonly used to treat gout. It is an inhibitor of microtubule polymerization which blocks chromosome segregation during meiosis. Consequently, it is used to induce polyploidy (tetraploid) in plant cells. It is an antimitotic agent that disrupts microtubules by binding to tubulin and preventing its polymerization. Stimulates the intrinsic GTPase activity of tubulin. Induces apoptosis in several normal and tumor cell lines and activates the JNK/SAPK signaling pathway.

Anwendungen
Colchicin wird überwiegend zur Behandlung von Gicht verwendet. Es ist ein Inhibitor der Mikrotubulipolymerisation, der die Chromosomentrennung während der Meiose blockiert. Daher wird es zur Induktion von Polyploidie (Tetraploid) in Pflanzenzellen verwendet. Es ist ein antimitotisches Mittel, das Mikrotubuli stört, indem es an Tubulin bindet und seine Polymerisation verhindert. Es stimuliert die intrinsische GTPase-Aktivität von Tubulin. Induziert Apoptose in mehreren normalen und Tumorzelllinien und aktiviert den JNK/SAPK-Signalweg.

Löslichkeit
In Ethanol löslich (10 mg/ml), Wasser (45 g/l), Chloroform, DMSO und Methanol.

Hinweise
Lichtempfindlich. Nicht kompatibel mit Oxidationsmitteln.
