Diclofenac hat basierend auf der Hemmung der MYC-Expression und des Glukosestoffwechsels in Melanom- und Leukämiemodellen eine erwiesene antitumorale Wirkung.

Anwendungen
Diclofenac-Natrium kann als Antioxidans- und Radikalenfänger verwendet werden

Es hat sich gezeigt, dass es eine antibakterielle Aktivität gegenüber Listeria, E. coli und M. tuberculosis hat, aufgrund der teilweisen Hemmung der bakteriellen DNA-Synthese.

Es kann als CYP2C9-Substrat für die Untersuchung der Stoffwechselaktivität verwendet werden
