Diethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether has a wide variety of applications in Chiral chemistry and green chemistry. It is also used in cosmetics. It is used as diluents and leveling agents in the manufacture of paints and in baking. It is also used in the manufacture of nitrocellulose. In brake fluid, it is used as an additive. It is used in the printing industry due to its slow evaporation rate. It is also used as a fixative for perfumes and antiseptics. It is used as an additive to prevent ice buildup in jet fuel.

Anwendungen
Diethylenglycol-Mono-n-Butylether findet eine Vielzahl von Anwendungen in der Chiralchemie und der grünen Chemie. Kommt auch in Kosmetika zum Einsatz. Wird als Verdünnungs- und Verlaufsmittel bei der Herstellung von Farben und beim Backen verwendet. Es wird auch bei der Herstellung von Nitrocellulose verwendet. Findet in Bremsflüssigkeit Anwendung als Additiv. Aufgrund seiner langsamen Verdunstungsrate wird es in der Druckindustrie eingesetzt. Dient auch als Fixiermittel für Parfüme und Antiseptika. Kommt als Zusatzstoff zum Einsatz, um Eisansammlungen in Flugzeugtreibstoff zu verhindern.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Wasser, Ethylether, Ethanolaceton und Benzol.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln und Leichtmetallen.
