Diglycolic acid was used in the preparation of needle-like aragonite particles from calcium nitrate aqueous solutions. It is also used in the synthesis of N-interlinked imipramines which show apoptotic activity against malignant cells as well as signs of combating Burkitt’s lymphoma.

Anwendungen
Diglycolsäure wurde bei der Herstellung nadelähnlicher aragonitischer Partikel aus wässrigen Calciumnitrat-Lösungen verwendet. Sie wird auch bei der Synthese von N-verketteten Imipraminen verwendet, die apoptotische Aktivität gegen bösartige Zellen zeigen, sowie bei Anzeichen für die Bekämpfung des Burkitt-Lymphoms.
