Dodecanedioic acid is used as an intermediate for plasticizers, lubricants and adhesives. It is also used in antiseptics, top-grade coatings, painting materials, corrosion inhibitor and surfactant. It finds application in engineering plastics such as nylon 612.

Anwendungen
Dodecanediosäure wird als Zwischenprodukt für Plastifizierer, Schmierstoffe und Klebstoffe verwendet. Es wird auch in Antiseptika, hochwertigen Beschichtungen, Farben, Korrosionshemmern und Tensiden verwendet. Es findet Anwendung in technischen Kunststoffen wie Nylon 612.

Löslich in Wasser, Ethanol, heißem Methanol, heißem Toluol und heißer Essigsäure.
