Beschreibung

Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid is used as a complexing agent for many cations. It prevents metal ion impurities and used to remove excess iron from the body. It acts as a sequestering agent in cosmetic products.

Anwendungen
Ethylendiaminetraessigsäure wird für viele Kationen als Komplexbildner verwendet. Verhindert Verunreinigungen durch Metallionen und dient zum Entfernen überschüssigen Eisens aus dem Körper. Wirkt als Chelatbildner in kosmetischen Produkten.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Natriumhydroxid, Natriumcarbonat, Ammoniaklösung, sauren und gewöhnlichen organischen Lösungsmitteln. Schwer in Wasser löslich.

Hinweise
Stabil. Nicht verträglich mit Kupfer, Kupferlegierungen, Nickel, Aluminium, starken Oxidationsmitteln und starken Basen.
