Fluorescein isothiocyanate is used as fluorescent labeling reagent for proteins and for rapid identification of pathogens in fluorescent antibody technique. It is also used as a reagent for microsequencing of proteins and peptides (HPLC). On celite it is used for the labeling of fibrinogen.

Anwendungen
Fluoresceinisothiocyanat wird als fluoreszierendes Kennzeichnungsreagenz für Proteine und zur schnellen Identifizierung von Pathogenen in fluoreszierender Antikörpertechnik verwendet. Es wird auch als Reagenz für die Mikrosequenzierung von Proteinen und Peptiden (HPLC) verwendet. Auf Celit wird es zur Kennzeichnung von Fibrinogen verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Schwer löslich in DMSO, Ethanol, Methanol, DMF und Aceton

Hinweise
Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, starken Basen und Aminen.
