Description
Gibco Zeocin Selection Antibiotic is a formulation of phleomycin D1, a glycopeptide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces verticillus. It acts by binding to and cleaving DNA, leading to cell death, and is used for selection of of mammalian, insect, yeast, bacterial, and plant cell cultures. Working concentration range is 50–400 μg/mL depending on the cell type. This product is supplied at 100 mg/mL in sterile water in 8 x 1.25 mL vials.
- Gibco™ Zeocin™ Selektions-Antibiotikum ist ein Präparat auf Basis von Phleomycin D1, einem Glykopeptid-Antibiotikum, das von Streptomyces verticillus produziert wird.
- Zeocin™ Selektions-Antibiotikum wirkt, indem es sich an DNA anlagert, diese spaltet und dadurch zum Zelltod führt.
- Dient zur Selektion von Zellkulturen aus Säugetier-, Insekten- und Hefe- sowie bakteriellen und pflanzlichen Proben.
- Die Arbeitskonzentration liegt je nach Zelltyp zwischen 50 und 400 µg/ml.
- Dieses Produkt wird in einer Konzentration von 100 mg/ml in sterilem Wasser und in 8 x 1,25 ml-Fläschchen geliefert.
