Methyl oleate is used as a chromatographic reference standard in biochemical research. It is also used as an intermediate for detergents, emulsifiers, wetting agents, stabilizers, textile treatments, plasticizers for duplicating inks, rubbers and waxes. It finds application as lubricants and lubricant additives.

Anwendungen
Methyloleat wird als chromatographischer Referenzstandard in der biochemischen Forschung verwendet. Wird auch als Zwischenprodukt für Detergenzien, Emulgatoren, Netzmittel, Stabilisatoren, Textilbehandlungen, Weichmacher für die Vervielfältigung von Farben, Gummi und Wachsen verwendet. Findet Anwendung als Schmierstoff und Schmiermittelzusatz.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Alkohol, Äther und Chloroform. Nicht mit Wasser mischbar.

Hinweise
Luft- und lichtempfindlich. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln.
