Beschreibung

 

Methyl p-toluenesulfonate is used as a methylating agent in organic synthesis. It acts as a catalyst for alkyd resins. It is also employed in selective 1-substitution reaction of tetrazole. Further, it is used in the preparation of dyes.

Anwendungen
Methyl-p-Toluensulfonat wird als Methylierungsmittel in der organischen Synthese verwendet. Fungiert als Katalysator für Alkydharze. Wird auch bei der selektiven 1-Substitutionsreaktion von Tetrazol eingesetzt. Wird darüber hinaus bei der Herstellung von Farbstoffen verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Äther, Alkohol, Benzol und Chloroform. Schwer löslich in Petrolether. Nicht in Wasser löslich.

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, starken Säuren und starken Basen.
