Perform effortless Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST) using Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Mueller Hinton Agar (Dehydrated), a medium designed and manufactured according to the European standard, EUCAST1 and the American standard, CLSI2, 3, 4.

Hauptverwendungszweck des Müller-Hinton-Agars sind antimikrobielle Empfindlichkeitstests (AST). Er hat sich zum Standardmedium für die Kirby-Bauer-Methode5, 6 entwickelt und kann in international anerkannten Standardverfahren eingesetzt werden.

  • Spezifiziert vom Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI), ehemals National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS)2,3,4 und dem European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST)1
  • Standardmedium für die Kirby-Bauer-Methode5, 6

Die Aufnahme von Stärke in das Medium stellt sicher, dass toxische Faktoren bei mikrobiellem Wachstum absorbiert werden. Außerdem ist die Präsenz von Stärke häufig unerlässlich für das Wachstum von Mikroorganismen aus sehr kleinen Inokula.
