n-Butyl acrylate is used in polymer manufacturing, textile, leather finishing, formulating paints and adhesive. It is also used in the production of homopolymers and co-polymers like acrylic acid and its salts, esters, amides, methacrylates, acrylonitrile, maleates, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, styrene, butadiene and unsaturated polyesters. Further, it is also used in making vitamin B1.

Anwendungen
N-Butylacrylat wird in der Polymerherstellung, in der Textil- und Lederverarbeitung, in der Formulierung von Farben und Klebstoffen verwendet. Wird auch bei der Herstellung von Homopolymeren und Co-Polymeren wie Acrylsäure und ihren Salzen, Estern, Amiden, Methacrylates, Acrylnitril, Maleaten, Vinylacetat, Vinylchlorid, Vinylidenchlorid, Styrol, Butadien und ungesättigten Polyestern verwendet. Wird darüber hinaus auch bei der Herstellung von Vitamin B1 verwendet.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Ethanol, Ethylether und Aceton. Etwas mischbar mit Wasser und Tetrachlorkohlenstoff.

Hinweise
Lichtempfindlich. Nicht kompatibel mit starken Oxidationsmitteln, starken Säuren, starken Basen, katalytischen Metallen, Organotin-Katalysatoren, Aminen, Peroxiden und Halogenen.
