Description

n-Decane is used as a solvent as well as an internal standard in the GC analysis of oxalic, malonic and succinic acids. It is used in paint manufacture as a hydrocarbon solvent and for wood stains and varnishes as a varnish solvent. It is an active component of automotive fuels viz. gasoline (petrol).

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. Anwendungen
N-Decan wird sowohl als Lösungsmittel als auch als interner Standard bei der GC-Analyse von Oxalsäure, Malonsäuren und Succinsäuren verwendet. Es wird in der Farbherstellung als Kohlenwasserstofflösemittel und für Holzbeizen und -lacke als Lacklösungsmittel verwendet. Es ist ein aktiver Bestandteil von Kraftstoffen für die Automobilindustrie wie beispielweise Benzin.

Löslich in Alkohol und Ether. Mischbar mit Ethanol und Ether. Leicht mischbar mit Tetrachlorkohlenstoff. Nicht mit Wasser mischbar.

Hinweise
