Nafion™ N-115 membrane is widely used for proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells and water electrolyzers. It is a popular separator in electrochemical cells requiring high ionic conductivity such as fuel cells and water electrolyzers. The acidic (hydrogen ion) form and derivatives are solid, superacid catalysts useful in a wide variety of synthetic applications.
