Nafion™ N-117 membrane is widely used for proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells and water electrolyzers. It is popular for separators in electrochemical cells requiring high ionic conductivity such as fuel cells and water electrolyzers. The acidic (hydrogen ion) form and derivatives are solid, superacid catalysts useful in a wide variety of synthetic applications.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand.
