Sodium oxamate, an inhibitor of LDH-C4, prevented the AR induced by lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) or NADH. Oxamic acid sodium salt is an lactic acid dehydrogenase. Sperm suspension and cytosol fraction activities were inhibited by sodium oxamate. As cancer cells are often dependent on glycolysis for ATP production, sodium oxamate has implications as an anticancer compound.

Anwendungen
Natriumoxamat, ein Inhibitor von LDH-C4, verhinderte die durch Lysophosphatidylcholin (LPC) oder NADH induzierte AR. Oxaminsäure-Natriumsalz ist eine Milchsäuredehydrogenase. Durch Natriumoxamat werden Spermiensuspension und Aktivitäten der Cytosolfraktion gehemmt. Da Krebszellen für die ATP-Produktion häufig von Glykolyse abhängig sind, hat Natriumoxamat Wirkung als Krebsmedikament.

Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser (10 mg/ml).

Hinweise
Kühl lagern. Behälter an einem trockenen und gut belüfteten Ort dicht verschlossen halten. Von starken Oxidationsmitteln fernhalten.
