Description
Used as an analytical reagent and an oxidizing agent. Potassium bromate is used primarily as a maturing agent for flour and as a dough conditioner. It is also used as a laboratory reagent, in permanent-wave compounds such as food additives and explosives.

Wird als analytisches Reagenz und Oxidationsmittel verwendet. Kaliumbromat wird hauptsächlich als Reifemittel für Mehl und als Teigkonditionierer verwendet. Es wird auch als Laborreagenz in Dauerwellensubstanzen, Lebensmittelzusatzstoffen und Sprengstoffen verwendet.
Löslichkeit
Schwach löslich in Alkohol, aber unlöslich in Aceton und Ethanol.
Hinweise
Starkes Oxidationsmittel. Nicht kompatibel mit brennbaren Materialien, organischen Stoffen, Reduktionsmitteln, Aluminium und feinen pulverförmigen Metallen
