Beschreibung

Laboruntersuchungen wiesen nach, dass L-Nikotin (CAS-Nr. 54-11-5) das Rauchbedürfnis verringert.Es wird auch als 3-(1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinyl)pyridin bzw. (S)-(-)-Nikotin bezeichnet.

(S)-(-)-Nicotine is utilized as a therapeutic agent to eliminate smoking with the damage it does to health. It is widely used as a drug to enhance the memory or other cognition functions, which is second to caffeine. Lesser levels of nicotine given in the form of gum, may help to eliminate smoking.
